HR Recruiter/Training Coordinator

Cummings Resources is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to fill the role of Recruiter/Training Coordinator!

SUMMARY

The HR Recruiter and Training Coordinator is responsible for recruiting for all Company locations, including screening and interviewing applicants to fill current or expected job openings. S/he will also be the ultimate organizer of everything training, including managing class rosters, materials, arranging for training space, and maintaining training calendars. This role reports to the Human Resources Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Recruiting:

  • Confers with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Utilizes online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Initiates contact with potentially qualified candidates for specific job openings.
  • Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization.
  • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Provides information on Company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.
  • Coordinates communication with applicants.
  • Prepares and extends offers; prepares and/or authorizes appropriate paperwork.

Training

  • Responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to training and organizational development.
  • Schedules training events, obtains training materials, and ensures employees are kept abreast of training requirements.
  • Assist in planning, creating, and implementing each year's training courses and materials necessary for the course.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with management to proactively identify topics to be addressed or areas in need of additional instruction.
  • Seek and gather information from management and employees regarding the effectiveness of completed training courses and constantly seek to improve.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree preferred, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experiences.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, colleagues, and applicants.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office software.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

High professional standards regarding customer service and ethics. Must be high integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Knowledge of recruitment legal compliance areas. Strong behavior interviewing, negotiating, and closing skills.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong presentation skills and the ability to identify training needs. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
